We have put together a number of recipes based on our products. Some are very popular and are a permanent feature of our culinary offering.

Rånäs chocolate mousse, 4 servings
25 ml cream 
3 egg yolks 
25 g white chocolate 
83 g dark bitter chocolate 
Rånäs Brännvin
Our oldest and most popular recipe is a delicious chocolate mousse with a little added spice. 

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie. Beat the egg yolks. Beat the cream in a separate bowl. Stir the chocolate into the eggs, then stir in the cream to get a fluffy consistency. Add Rånäs Brännvin to taste. Refrigerate for one hour before serving. Enjoy with a Rånäs snaps served at the perfect temperature.

Rånäs relax
This refreshing drink is just as good on a hot summer's day as by the fire on a cold winter's evening. 

30 ml Rånäs Brännvin
0 ml Apple Sourz
A dash of orange juice 
1 tsp raw cane sugar
A slice of orange and a strawberry

Fill at least half a small glass with ice. Squeeze a little orange juice into a saucer and muddle the raw cane sugar into the juice using a spoon (if you don't have a mixing glass and muddler). Pour the mixture over the ice. Mix in 30 ml Rånäs Brännvin and 10 ml Apple Sourz. Pour in the Sprite and garnish with orange and something bright, like a strawberry. 

Virgin Rånäs relax
10 ml Monin apple syrup 
10 ml sugar syrup 
30 ml soursop juice 1 chilled apple (peeled, cored and cut into pieces) 
1/2 tsp vanilla sugar

Made in a blender. Fill a cocktail glass with ice to cool it, then pour the ice into a blender and blend for about 30 seconds. Tip in the remaining ingredients and blend for another 30–60 seconds, for a sorbet-like consistency. Garnish with an apple slice and a vanilla pod.

Rånäs truffles (makes around 20)
Delicious with coffee, or give them as a great gift

200 g chopped dark chocolate
15 g unsalted butter 
250 ml whipping cream 
2 tbsp Rånäs Brännvin 
50 ml cocoa, e.g. Chocovic 70%

Heat the butter, cream and Rånäs Brännvin. Remove the pan from heat, add the chocolate and stir slowly to melt. Leave the truffle mix in a cool place to harden. Shape into round truffles. Sift over the cocoa or roll the truffles in melted/tempered white chocolate and leave in a cool place until serving.

Rånäs meatballs
Try our meatballs – delicious everyday or as part of the large Christmas dinner buffet.

750 g elk mince
50 ml breadcrumbs 
100 ml cream 
1/2 bottle of beer 
1 shallot 
1 tbsp of butter 
1/2 tsp salt 
1 tbsp Dijon mustard 
Salt and white pepper to taste 

Soak the breadcrumbs in the cream for about 10 minutes. Peel and chop the onion and sauté in oil or butter. Knead the mince, beer and spices together. Add the onion, mustard and bread crumb mix and knead to combine. Shape into balls and fry one test meatball, taste, and then add extra seasoning if necessary.
